No Goodbyes, Simple Hellos.

Well this has been a wonderful year in my English class. I love my blog! I love that I have learned about this site! I am in college and I just learned how to read a book without skimming though it, I started off hard though, I just simply didn’t want to read. I hated anything that had to do with reading for school, but then there was banned and challenged books where I stepped up and read where I was “not supposed to read”. But going further I am not trying to strictly focus on books or even English.

I am switching to completely make-up! I’m going to start doing tutorials giving ideas for make-up looks to show people what to wear to go on dates. This is going to become strictly girly girl so to speak. I don’t want to lose my followers but this is a BIG WARNING that I am switching gears for the better of myself and to broadcast my work. I am going to be taking a small break small break in order to get myself together. Build a vanity get my lights in order and make sure the that the videos and pictures I will be providing are in the best quality as possible. My dream is to meet Aaliyah Jay, because she taught me everything I know now, and the ins and outs of make-up. I want to be that inspiration to some one. I want to make it to New York and own the best make up.  These are my dreams and I don’t mind sharing them with the world. I switch out of the medical field to do what makes me happy and my happiness starts right here with this blog! I will appreciate the support from everyone and if you have any advice to help me get on my feet please let me know. It’ll be very helpful.

What Is Really Love?

Ok I am very excited to do this book review! Simply because as I stated before this is a local writer who published her book from my all time favorite app, Wattpad! So what I am reading is Down For Love by Jasmine Ciera with 235 pages. So let’s get into this plot! This story actually takes place in Gainesville Florida. It begins with a girl name Lovely James, she doesn’t have a farther in her life but she does have a drunken mother. Who beat her and made her do so many cruel things just to get money. Lovely was at the top of her game in school though, she made all A’s and was at the top of her class. Lovely was picked on because of what she wore and only had one friend who was surprisingly one of the most popular girls there. She looked out for Lovely and her name was Kandi. And then there is the big Clayton “Clay” Jewels the all around star. Basketball, football, big drug dealer and the son of the town mayor.

There is all the background info of this story. It is now about to be real! Long story short Clayton isn’t passing school and Lovely is the one appointed by the principle to tutor him, at this point she upset because she doesn’t know how it is going to benefit her. She soon finds out that she can receive a letter of recommendation from the mayor for all her college applications. Clayton’s mom takes Lovely in as her own and see the good in her. Her and Clayton slowly gains a relationship but the twist is what I can not tell you! There are many trials and obstacles in there relationship because of drugs, kidnappings, college, children, and even deaths of family members. PLEASE READ!

What’s Up With You?

Update on the make up word and life! It’s going great! I’ve learned so many techniques and is trying to contact my “inner self’ and learn to be more creative. And do more things with my life. I want to start a YouTube channel I want it to be more than make up but just life itself. If I could see my life through video I would be hooked! Like a TV show. I want people to see my journey to the top and I want to look back on my journal and let other girls know how they could be better then me. As far as make up goes I think I have mastered the “Glitter Cut and Crease”! I wish I could gain clientele, but I don’t post my work enough and I don’t do a face every week to constantly put forth my work. So I might have to put a little more dedication into broadcasting my work. I was always told that if you want more, you will do more.

Another excitement is the book I’m reading. So in class we had the assignment to choose our own books and not go by the list of banned and challenge books. If you know me, I am WattPad crazy and just knew I was going to be doing a report on those. But my professor told me it was a no go. I had to have a physical book and it had to be over 150 pages. So I went to Facebook and asked was there any WattPad who published a physical book. With that I found that a Gainesville author from WattPad published Down For Love and her name is Jasmine Ciera. I am actually finished with the book and it was 235 pages. I finished it in one day. Like I am in love with the book and even more in love with the fact that some one from my home town can take their talent and do great things with them! A review comes next week be on the look out!!

Worst Accident is Killing The Teacher

Crazy title right? Yeah I know, that is exactly how this story was! I read Killing Mr. Griffin By Lois Duncan it was 243 pages. Mr. Griffin was a very strict teacher! He wasn’t mean but he expected a lot from his students and wanted them to succeed. But like every other student in the whole entire world, we just don’t understand how much a teach wants the best. But there was this one student and his name was Mark. Mark got caught by Mr. Griffin for preforming plagiarism. Mr. Griffin makes Mark retake the class another semester and Mark wants his revenge. Mark wasn’t the only student that felt this way Jeff, Betsy, and David did as well.

Mark convince the other 3 students that it was time that they let this man stop treating them thins way. They had one friend, Susan, who didn’t feel the same way and but still helped with their plan to kidnap Mr. Griffin and torture him. Susan get a conference with Mr. Griffin after school one day. While walking him to his car the group puts a bag over his head and kidnaps him. They take Mr. Griffin to the mountains where he is tied up and ask to beg for his life. He refuses and they leave him there. Susan and David sneaks back to the mountain and find him dead from cardiac arrest. No! that is not a spoiler. But this book is about this group taking various steps to cover up this murder that they have committed. Now this book is my favorite book.  I really love this book, it just full of twist and turns and I could never put it down. It was a very easy read I could read it again. But I do understand how this book was challenged because teachers are hard on their students everyday. This only gives them examples of what they could do. But it also show s the consequences and what could happen. I do believe that todays generation is too bold and will do anything to get what they want.

50 Shades of Happiness

I read 50 shades of Grey E. L. James. Since lately I’ve been reading longer books I am proud to say that I read a book of 514 pages and I do feel accomplished. This book start out with Anastasia also known as Ana taking the place of her friend Kate who was head of the news paper and got sick and couldn’t do an important interview with an the rich Christian Grey. This is where these two main characters meet. He makes her sign contracts in order to have a relationship with him which also includes a lot of BDSM acts.  In order to have this relationship she can’t speak of their sexual encounters or anything of that nature to anyone but it takes her sometime to sigh the contract. BDSM turns into abuse and Ana finds  that her and Christian shouldn’t be together.

Let’s get to my opinion things. I feel that this book was incredible. I know it makes a few people upset but this book  is real. This happens in real life and people seem to look over it. It actually an eye-opener to see that some men have a different definition of what sex is supposed to be like. And in that case when does the court becomes involve or the legal acts. If two people are having sex but the sex is harming one is it only abuse when the person speaks up? Or is a person’s definition of sexual intercourse accounted for in that case. I personally understand why this book is in the category of banned and challenged books. No child should read this, it simply can change the mind of a child and what they think sex should be like. I do think in order to read this book you have to be mature and don’t let the book influence the way you do things.

The Kill Right On Time

A Time to Kill By John Grisham was the longest book I have ever took time to read. 515 pages of the excellence. This book has so many emotions all stirred up in one. This book begins with a young African American young girl begin raped and beaten by two white male named Pete and Billy Ray. They think that is ok and funny but Mr. Carl Lee, her farther, thinks otherwise. Now this book take place in 1980s in Mississippi where racism was prevalent. Carl Lee has a good friend, a white lawyer, named Jake. Jake was with Carl through thick and thin knowing that his friend wanted to kill this two guys, he said nothing to the police. I believe that the love in this book over comes all anger. This book gives a complete insight to what goes through rape victims father’s mind.

Carl Lee kills the two men! No that’s not a spoiler and no that’s not how the book ends. Pure Climax! The toe-curler is Carl Lee id that the people want Carl Lee receives the death penalty because of two disgusting men that abused his daughter. What goes on while Carl Lee is behind bars is the story. Jake does all that he can to protect his family because this case had reached the public and the public took things in their own hands. Billy Rae had a brother named Freddy, he wanted his revenge. He brought in the Ku Klux Klan also known as the KKK, this group brought so much havoc that people died. There is one con I have with this book and it’s that everyone can not read this book it’s very visual and it has the ability to paint a picture in one’s mind and leaving it there. I would not recommend this book to one who has been raped or abused. Overall wonderful story I would read it again. I wouldn’t recommend watching the movie until you read the book. It gives so much more details.

Killing With a Brush

This weekend I concluded that  I am beginning to become more connected with my make up. I am starting my portfolio so I can broaden my business of a make up beauty bar. At this business I plan to do full faces of make up, micro blading eyebrows, and lash extensions. I am planning to retain more experience at the Bronner’s Brother Hair Show  . This is the biggest cosmetic event is the country, it’s an honor just to go and watch the world’s greatest come together just to make women beautiful. I myself is getting better at doing full faces of make up for different event. I’ve learned many techniques but the one that has been much useful to me is that the size and shape of a make up brush can change the way eyeshadow and make up is applied to the brush. In make up there is a such thing as the wrong brush, because blending in order to make a women look as natural as possible is important.

But enough about brushes! This week I am reading A Time to Kill by John Grisham. So far it’s a great read, the beginning started off a bit weird to me to the point where I had to start over and read it again. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in mystery and suspense. So far I see that a little girl is raped and her father goes though great measures to find revenge on these persons. It warms my heart the a father would go above and beyond for his daughter even though killing people is not the right way to go by doing things when a child is hurt for foolish reason, a parent’s mind is never in the right place. Reading this book makes me understand just what love for a child can do for a parent.

Real is not Rare

Go Ask Alice by Anonymous is a real diary by a 15 year old. This is a great read, it is 213 pages. It is one of the easier reads because it’s her diary so on some days her writes in her diary are very simple, no more than about 7 words. That is one of the things I disliked about this book, it starts off slow to the point you would want to put the book down and not pick it up anymore. But on the other hand, it’s real. It’s a real teenager with real feelings and emotions, and this diary is her friend and her sanity. When she moved this book moved with her in every way possible.  She goes to her diary for all her problems when she was 15 they were simple problems that I would say all 15 year olds go through, the boys, the weight problems, and school work. Alice had dreams and goals of opening a boutique this diary shows that life has different plans than what a person may be have but you have to be strong

Alice went to a party where she had a drink that had the drug LSD in it. This begin her downward spiral of her life, she left her home, moved out, and quit school. Alice was strong though she knew exactly how to get back on her feet and get her mind together. But drugs have an addiction urge for a reason. I think this does a great job in keeping the identity of the family and everyone who was around anonymous. It blanks out a lot of names and places that she had been to. That was another great reason to read this book because the mystery behind the book pulls you. You want to know who this person is, you want to know on what corner did she want to open her boutique, you want to know who’s law office did she run to when she was about to raped in the park. So as you can see real is not rare bad things happen to people everyday, it’s the way a person gets out of situation and capitalize on it and this is exactly what this great book taught me.

Ten Random Facts About Me

 

1. I am a pharmacy technician at Walgreens Pharmacy which I find to be kind of boring, because all I really do is count pills and deal with very rude customers who blame us for all of the problems of their life.

2. My dream goal is to become a marketing manager for L’Oréal cosmetics , I picked this company because I personally feel that you get what you pay for. Maybe even a little bit more than what you pay for. I would to be apart of that.

3. Doing make up is my real passion, I really dislike it in the pharmacy

4. I went to Lincoln Middle school where I was the cheerleading captain and in the Lyceum program. The lyceum program was a gifted program where I was able to take various high school classes in middle school and this gave me a head start to finish high school early.

5. Reading Wattpad is my favorite thing to do outside of school and work. I am able to relax and see the world so much differently.

6. Law and Order: Special Victim Unit is favorite show to watch on my free time.

7. Me and my family love to travel and go on trips together. Seeing the world and the whole entire world is our main goals of life. But the one trip we are looking forward to going to is Dubai.

9. I can count the number of friends I have on one hand. Merely because I am not as friendly as I use to be and I’ve started to focus on myself and do what makes me truly happy.
